New client – Inch Cape Offshore Wind Farm

Offshore wind proved to be covid-resilient and PRsue Communication has been busier than ever, recently taking on a new client – Inch Cape Offshore Wind Farm. Our 10th offshore wind farm, and the first in Scotland.

Update on projects

Adjusting to the online world was out of necessity but it was an effective switch with people in the workplace now used to, and expecting, hybrid working. Working from home did not slow down the progress on either of PRsue Communications’s two key long terms projects, Sofia and North Falls. We’ve come along way on Sofia since 2008, with the project now well into construction. Managing the skills programme, all communications activity and collateral, stakeholders, local communities and media…its been a huge achievement … with final tasks before departing being the announcement of the start of offshore construction and a successful supply chain event in Blyth. North Falls continues to progress through development with its name and brand launched during lockdown, new website and the successful completion of its third consultation, all managed by this consultancy.

The sector

It is extremely fortunate to be in sector that continues to grow, despite difficult global times, but even so there are ongoing uncertainties in the industry around costs, grid, supply chain and acceptance. Bringing communities along for the ride is an imperative, as is making the sector greener. As we did throughout the pandemic we will adapt and move forward as it is a necessity for the world’s vital transition away from fossil fuels and towards the use of renewable energy sources.
